IT’S PERSONAL

My path to building this company was personal long before it was professional.

After sustaining multiple injuries in the U.S. Marine Corps, I found myself constantly adjusting how I moved just to avoid pain. Then a nearly fatal auto accident changed everything. I spent five years in rehabilitation, learning not only how to recover physically, but how to live with the full weight of accumulated trauma. Because of an exceptional care team, I was able to return to near full capacity. I know how fortunate that makes me.

When I returned to operations work, I began noticing something I could not ignore. Many of the men around me had not been as lucky. They were still showing up, still carrying the load, still working long hours with fused spines, chronic injuries, and pain that had simply become part of daily life.

That stayed with me.

I had already begun thinking about how to create a real solution—something beyond a temporary fix or another bandage over a deeper problem. I wanted to build something that could better support service members and law enforcement professionals, and give them a stronger chance at durability, mobility, and longevity in their work.

The company first began in 2022 as a consulting agency, helping missionaries navigate travel into non-permissive and hostile environments. But after working in places like Israel, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia, and after developing the idea for the JC plate carrier, it became clear that this mission needed its own dedicated path. That realization led me to separate the consulting work into a different entity and focus on building solutions designed for the people who need them most.
